They write that cycling is far less demanding than many
imagine, well let us hope so. What is certain is that if the going
does get tough there will be great rewards.
A host of beautiful fjords and islands interspersed by
picturesque small fishing ports with the mountains never far away.
On some of the sections cyclists will be sharing the track with
walkers. There will be beautiful sections of abandoned road and
two lovely sections of abandoned railway tracks. We will come across
burial mounds from Bronze Age to Viking era, a fortress and sailing
resorts on both sides of the Oslofjord. The medieval cathedral in
Stavanger, which will be a must to visit and also to Edvard Grieg's
house in Bergen.
