Germany - 907 Kilometres

For most part the NSC Route follows through rural areas, passing several towns and cities. Also one will become acquainted again as in The Netherlands with the unique Wadden Sea landscape. Dykes, marshes, nature reserves, traditional fishing villages and seafaring towns.

Castles, churches, lighthouses will all tell you their very own stories while cycling through this attractive region. Again, on the whole the cycling route follows car-free roads with occasionally short sections on busy roads. But then that will be a nice mixture and gives the opportunity to see the people of the country at their work, rest and play.

For cycling maps:

Part 2: Niedersachsen und Bremen
Part 3: Schleswig-Holstein und Hamburg

Beware: These maps are only available in German, however key text from the map will also be in English.

On a more encouraging note the North Sea Cycle route is signed out with the NSCR-logo and in some counties you will find the logo with an arrow to show you the way.
